Hey! It is a beautiful morning to kick ass. I am always particular about being intentional in everything I do, and I believe everyone else should live their lives to the fullest. There’s no point of doing something if you’re not going to go all the way through. If you’re not going in for a kill, then why aim at all? If something doesn’t make you happy, why bother in the first place? We are living nightmares while editing sweet dreams.
If wishes were horses, I would definitely be a middle-aged billionaire writing this from Greece. I have been thinking a lot about being stuck in situations that compromise one’s happiness. It is quite unbelievable how we have conformed to mediocre lifestyles; mediocre education, sub-standard jobs and greasy deaths. Liberal thinkers are not ‘welcomed’ to this kind of lifestyle. That’s why it is harder for most people to reason beyond the horizon. We are afraid to take risks, we are threatened by distant waters and differing heights. When was the last time you tried something new, something scary, something that made your adrenaline rush? Do you feel caged? Unable to be what you want? Isn’t it suffocating; yearning something so surreal yet living the average?
I view the world as some sort of machine, ‘Garbage In, Garbage Out.’ Children who dream beyond the traditional boundaries are harshly hushed. Those who rebel, are considered outcasts, and very few individual outlive their passions and childhood fantasies. We have been nurtured to settle, and I cannot point my finger at anyone but myself for anything I turn out to be. I have absolute no respect for people who give up without a viable reason, but for the man who quits his job because he wants to volunteer in Syria, or the child who skips music class to study calculus, the lady who dictates her inner ‘Shuri’ (my favorite Black Panther character), these are the people who change the world. So many people living their parent’s dreams – outdated dreams, so many humans refusing to be different, it is very sad. Ignoring passions because of fear, what if it it doesn’t work out? What of the magnificence of it working out?
What’s stopping you from achieving your dreams? Is it that job that you loathe, your nagging girlfriend? Are you afraid your mom won’t understand? Will the village elders let you be? Well, my dear, grow some balls, load your gun, cork it, aim and shoot to kill. Life is too short for estranged maybes. Have a fantastic week and dare to be different!
